The project stems from a dissonance between where I grew up and where I was officially registered, which led to a longstanding uncertainty around the idea of "hometown." Through one person embodying two childhood roles - one drifting, one disguised - I return to once-familiar spaces to revisit the emotional responses to belonging formed in early life. It is not only about a distance from "home," but also about feeling estranged within the familiar, and the ongoing, unsettled question of identity in a fluid, uncertain world.
