Not What You Think centres on Kaka, whose image moves between Peking opera and contemporary youth subculture. Through theatrical styling, sculptural poses and dramatic studio lighting, the project stages a collision between tradition and the underground, allowing opera, fashion and personal identity to coexist in one body.
